Singer Khurshid Alam airlifted to Dhaka

Singer Khurshid AlamRenowned singer Khurshid Alam has been airlifted to Dhaka after he was hospitalized in Bogura following a road crash at the wee hours of Saturday (Mar 30).
Alam was flown by an air ambulance from the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SZRMCH) in the northern city to Green Life Hospital in Dhaka on Saturday noon, said Director of SZRMCH Brig Gen Golam Rasul.
Earlier, a Dhaka-bound truck hit the car carrying the singer and two other local residents leaving all of them injured, said Bogura’s Additional Superintendent of Police Sanatan Chakrabarty.
The accident took place around 3am on the highway to Rangpur at Jhopgari area just outside the Bogura town.
Alam was taken to the medical college hospital in Bogura, said the police official.
The singer had gone to northern city to attend a reception at a city hotel, according to his brother Murshid Alam.
Alam suffered injuries on the head, but was out of danger. He also left with damaged teeth due to the impact,” medical college hospital's Neurosurgery Department chief Sushanta Kumar told the media.
