A presiding officer, who was assigned in a Naogaon polling center, has died on Monday (Mar 18) morning after he had trouble breathing
The deceased, Mazedul Islam, 50, was the Principal of Mahadebpur Hazi Danesh High School.
“He went to the Mahadebpur polling centre in the morning to perform his duties as the presiding office. All on a sudden, he was experiencing breathing difficulties,” said Mahadebpur police OC Sazzad Hossain.
He died on the way to Manda Upazila Heath Complex, where he was being taken treatment, Hossain added.
Mahadebpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mobarak Hossain said, another presiding officer was sent to Mahadebpur polling centre.
