Former minister for Cultural Affairs, Asaduzzaman Noor, said that the young generation is entrapped by the golden five aspiration.
“Guardians are locking children within the pages of academic textbooks; as a result, the number of lonely people is rising.”
He made the comment on Thursday (Mar 7) while organizing the sixth national theatre festival at the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet.
Asking people to learn from theatre and drama, he said, “If people had taken lesson from theatre then life would have changed.”
The VC of the university, Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed, said, “Once, all cultural activities were suspended at this university which hampered the psychological growth of students; however, now our students are actively taking part in cultural activities.”
After the inauguration, a theatre titled ‘Puti Ramayan’ was staged.
