A Sub-register has been stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in Kushtia, police said.
The incident was reported from Babur Ali Gate area of the district town on Monday (Oct 9).
Victim Nur-Mohammad, a Sub-register at Sadar Upazila’s land office, was a tenant in the area.
Kushtia Sadar police OC Santu Biswas said, “The house owner informed police at 11pm after he noticed a blood-soaked body inside the house.”
Police rescued Nur-Mohammad and sent him to the state-owned hospital at the district town.
“The victim was brought dead and the body bore two injury marks on hands weapons,” hospital doctor Rajibul Hasan told Bangla Tribune.
Kushtia model police OC Nasir Uddin said, “Police visited the crime scene and recovered evidence.”
“Police have opened investigation into the killing,” he added.
