Gold bars seized at Ctg airport

File Photo.Customs at the Shah Amanat Airport in Chattogram have seized eight kilograms of gold bars from two flights on Sunday (Sept 16).
Both the flights were operated by Regent Airways, said customs Assistant Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman.
Two passengers have been detained over the first haul from Oman’s Muscat while no arrests were made over the second haul.
Those detained are Asaduzzaman and Kamal Uddin who arrived in Chattogram in the morning.
Rahman told Bangla Tribune that 10 gold bars weighing 1.16 kg were seized from them.
Another 60 bars weighing nearly 7 kg were found inside a Regent Airways plane in the afternoon, he added.
