The government has nothing to do with the medical treatment for BNP chief Khaleda Zia, says Awami League leader Obaidul Quader adding that the authorities will everything to ensure proper treatment as per the doctors’ advice.
Speaking to the media in Noakhali on Saturday, Road Transport Minister Quader said, “Khaleda Zia will get treated in line with the jail code and on advice by the medical board.”
She is being treated as the per the authorities decision after diagnosis and “the government is not interfering”, he said.
There’s no scope of ‘unconditional release’ as the court has convicted Khaleda, said the senior Awami League leader, “She has got the privilege, which is rather rare, to keep her personal aide as well as consult her personal physician in jail.”
