A fire in Chattogram has left a man dead on Friday.
The incident was reported from the port city’s Amin Jute Mills area in Bayazid Bostami.
The fire service said that 20 houses, including a shop were gutted in the fire.
The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Md Shohel.
Local fire service Assistant Director Kamal Uddin Bhuiyan said, “Shohel who was sleeping inside the shop could not evacuate as it was locked from outside.”
“An electrical short circuit may have triggered the fire,” he added.
