A 7-year-old child was killed after being hit by a battery-run three wheeler in Jhenaidah.

The incident was reported from the district’s Kaliganj upazila on Monday.

Sadia, an only child of her parents, was was hit by a battery-run auto rickshaw when she was waiting for her relatives on the road, said Kaliganj Police OC Mizanur Rahman.

She was first admitted to Kaliganj Health Complex and later taken to Jashore Hospital where she died at 1pm on Monday, he added.
