Revenue income shows upward trend

PHOTO/bicda.netThe collection of revenue has gained momentum. In December last, the revenue growth was around 22 percent while in November it was 7.76 percent.
In December 2018, the revenue collection was Tk 183.33 billion while in December 2019, this was Tk 223.53 billion.
Commissioner of the VAT Commissionerate Dr Mainul Khan, said: “Growth is uplifting with Dhaka west showing 28 percent growth. We have concentrated on good governance following the directive of the new chairman by creating a trade and revenue friendly environment.”
Bangladesh Bank says that in the first six months of the fiscal year (July-December) the revenue growth has been 8.73 percent. Same time last year, this was 6.79 percent.
In the first six months, revenue income was Tk 1065.51 billion while in the same period in the last fiscal it was Tk 979.93 billion.
