China's Y&F Healthcare Ltd. will invest $10 million in Mongla Export Processing Zone (EPZ) to produce diversified products in the medical sector, reports BSS.
In the presence of Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Major General S M Salahuddin Islam, member of BEPZA Zillur Rahman and Managing Director of Y&F Healthcare Ltd Feng Yiming signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at BEPZA Complex in Dhaka, said a press release.
The company is going to establish a Surgical Products Manufacturing Industry in Mongla EPZ. A new multi-diversified product has been added in the export basket of Bangladesh through BEPZA, it added.
This 100% foreign-owned company will produce annually 6 million pcs of PE Sleeve & Thumb Gown, CPE Shoes Cover and Thumb Gown, PVC Sleeve Cover, Lab Coat, Isolation Gown, Doctor Cap, Surgical Gown, Coveralls, Scrub suit, Surgical Drapes and Packs.
Y&F Healthcare Company will create employment opportunity for 2,930 Bangladeshi nationals, the release added.
Members of BEPZA- Mohammad Faruque Alam, Mizanur Rahman, Member, Nazma Binte Alamgir, and Md Tanvir Hossain, were also present at the signing ceremony.
