Indian budget airlines Indigo will start its commercial operation in Bangladesh from August 1 with seven flights every week on Dhaka-Kolkata route.
This was disclosed by Chief Commercial Officer of the airlines William Bolter at a hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday (July 25).
Dhaka will be the ninth international destination of Indigo which will make Chennai, Delhi and Bengaluru connecting flight available for Dhaka passengers.
The flight will depart from Dhaka at 7.10pm while one-way promotional fare is fixed at Tk 4,918 and return ticket at Tk 7,085.
In response to a query, Bolter said, Indigo will operate Airbus 320 plane with a capacity of 186 passengers.
Passengers can carry handbag of 7kg and luggage of 20kg without any charge, he added.
