Bangladesh Bank (BB) will announce its monetary policy statement (MPS) for the first half of the current 2019-20 fiscal year (FY20) on Wednesday (Jul 31).
“BB Governor Fazle Kabir will unveil the MPS at 11.30am at a press conference at the central bank headquarters in Dhaka's Motijheel,” said a central bank statement issued on Sunday (Jul 28).
The monetary policy would be announced on the basis of the national budget for the 2019-20 financial year and the fiscal policy directions, BSS quoted a BB senior official as saying.
Like previous fiscal, the central bank will maintain its cautionary stance in the new monetary policy, he added.
