Gas supply to Banani, Uttara and surrounding areas will be disrupted for nine hours from 6am to 3pm due to installation of gas pipelines on Wednesday (May 29).
A media statement from Titas Gas and Distribution Company on Tuesday (May 28) said that gas supply will be completely off in the areas that fall between Joydebpur intersection and Banani rail crossing.
In addition to that gas pressure at Uttara, Joyarshahara and Baridhara DOHS will be extremely low.
“Even though the pipeline was supposed to be placed on Monday (May 27), the work couldn’t be done on that day. The work will be done on Wednesday instead,” Titas Director (operation) Md Kamruzzaman said in the statement.
According to the statement, the 16 inches gas pipeline will be set close to an underpass project alignment near Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment School and College
Hence, gas supply to the industrial areas and CNG filling stations between Joydepur intersection and Banani rail crossing will be off.
