‘No banking commission this time’

Finance Minister AMA MuhithFinance Minister AMA Muhith Friday has said for the time being, they don’t have any plan to set up ‘banking commission’.
He was speaking at a post-budget press conference to describe the different aspect of budget for 2018-19 fiscal rolled out at the parliament Thursday.
“I wanted to set up banking commission but it could not possible this time. I have completed all the necessary preparation and paperwork for the next government. I will leave it for the next government,” he said.
The coverage of banking sector has widened but the banking service is very poor, he added.
