All 42 FBCCI directors elected unopposed

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) logoThe Election Commission of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has declared 21 candidates from the chamber group, as well as 21 more from association group, for the post of FBCCI directors for the term 2019-21, according to a press release issued on Saturday (Apr 27).








The candidates were elected unopposed, as the number of candidates and directorial positions were the same, the release also said. They were chosen in accordance to the electoral regulations of the country’s apex trade body.
Names of 29 other aspirants for directorial posts, who were nominated from both the groups, were also announced in the press release.
Apart from the 42 elected directors, a 72-strong board will be formed with other nominated candidates from as many associations, including BGMEA, BTMEA and BKMEA, and others from chambers of commerce and industry like DCCI, MCCI, and CCCI.
Directors who were elected unopposed (from Chamber Group) are Sheikh Fazle Fahim, Hasina Newaz, Masudur Rahman Milon, Azizul Hoque, Dilip Kumar Agarwala, Masud Parvez Khan Imran, Mohammad Anwar Sadat Sarker, Md Rezaul Karim Rejnu, Gazi Golam Ashria, Tabarukul Tosaddek Hossain Khan Tito, Md Kohinoor Islam, Prabir Kumar Saha, Mohd Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan, Mohammed Riyadh Ali, Md Hasanuzzaman, Humayun Rashid Khan Pathan, AH Ahmed Jamal, Sharita Millat, Sujib Ranjan Dash, MA Razzak Khan, Md Shoriful Islam and AKM Shaheed Reza.
Those elected unopposed from the association group are Muntakim Ashraf, Khandaker Ruhul Amin, Abu Motaleb, Mir Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Md Shafiqul Islam Vorosha, Shomi Kaiser, Rashadul Hossain Chowdhury Ronni, Md Habib Ullah Dawn, Shafquat Haider, Helena Jahangir, Amzad Hussain, Nizamuddin Rajesh, SM Jahangir Hossain, Md Abul Ayes Khan, Abu Naser, Khondokar Moinur Rahman Jewel, Hafez Harun-Or-Rashid, Abdul Haque, Mehdi Ali, Md Munir Hossain, and Kazi Shoyeb Rashid.
