Hours after being restored the website of state-owned Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla), it has been hacked again.
The website (www.petrobangla.org.bd) was compromised at 5am on Monday (Apr 7) after was restored at 9:30am.
The latest attack came over seven hours after the website was hacked at 5pm on Sunday (Apr 8).
In the latest hacking incident, hackers using the name “N33LOB33” wrote on the website: “It is not possible to work with such security. It has been hacked again. Contact at [email protected]. We are fixing the weakness in your security.
“Hacking Is Not Crime. It’s An Art Of Logic. Respect : TiGER-M@TE | Bangladesh Cyber Army | Team_CC | BD Grey Hat Hackers | 3xp1r3 Cyber Army | Bangladesh Script Kiddie Hackers | Blacksmith Hackers Team |,” the message added.
Following the recovery of the website on Monday morning, Tariqul Islam Khan, manager of the public relations wing at Petrobangla, claimed all the information on the website was unaffected.
During Sunday’s hacking incident, the hackers wrote on the website: “Your All Data Are Safe”.
Earlier, the Petrobangla website was hacked soon after the Rohingya influx started on August 25, 2017, and also on Dec 19, 2015.
The state-run corporation has 12 subordinate companies running upstream and downstream energy businesses.
