The website of state-owned corporation Petrobangla (www.petrobangla.org.bd) has been hacked.

“The matter came to authorities’ notice after 5 pm on Sunday (Apr 7),” said Public Relations Officer Tariqul Islam.

Hackers put a notice on the website, saying “Hacked by N33LOB33”. They, however, claimed all data were “safe”.

Tariqul Islam said the matter was communicated to the department concerned. “They hoped that it’ll be possible to recover the site by Monday (Apr 8).”

Back in 2017, the website of the state-owned hydrocarbon corporation had suffered another cyber attack, said an official who wishes to go unnamed.
