Bangladesh and Nepal has signed a contract to avoid double taxation and boost trade between the two countries.

A deal, in this regard, was signed on Tuesday (Mar 5) at Kathmandu after several rounds of meeting between both sides.

National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, NDC, signed the contract on behalf of Bangladesh while Nepal’s Revenue Secretary Lal Shankar Ghimire signed for his country.

The deal will pave way to create favourable investment environments in both the country, where double taxation will not be applicable for the same earning.
