Gas supply will remain suspended in the city’s Shangshad Bhaban area from 9 am to 8 pm on Friday (Oct 5).
According to a press release from the Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd, issued on Wednesday, the gas supply will remain cut off for 11 hours due to the relocation of gas pipelines to facilitate construction of metro rail project.
The localities that will be affected are Tejturi Bazar, Nakhalpara, Monipuripara, Farmgate, Indira Road, Shangshad Bhaban area, Rajabazar, Panthapath, Kalabagan, Bijoy Sarani, Tallabag, Shukrabad and adjoining areas.
No gas will be supplied to household, commercial, industrial and CNG refuelling stations connections during this period.
Earlier on Monday (Oct 1) gas supply in Mirpur was cut off for 10 hours for the same reason.
