State-owned Sonali Bank has temporarily suspended trade union leader Kamal Uddin.
Uddin, president of Sonali Bank Employees’ Union, was discharged from his duty on the allegation of using forged documents during his appointment.
The bank’s Human Resources Department (HRD) issued a letter to him on Aug 20.
Uddin, who is an assistant officer (grade -2), joined the bank in 1980-81 fiscal
Following the suspension, Uddin, accompanied by his supporters, demonstrated at the banks’ headquarters.
Bangla Tribune made repeated attempt to reach the CBA leader over the phone but he was unavailable.
Recently, the Anti-Corruption Commission pressed charge against Kamal Uddin in a case.
