Bangladesh Bank has directed banks to keep selective branches open in Dhaka city on Tuesday (Aug 21), a public holiday, to facilitate transactions of the cattle traders ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
The central banks, in a circular sent to the bank chiefs on Monday (Aug 20), asked the banks to remain open their branches between 10am and 8pm.
Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated across the country on Aug 22.
