Grameenphone hits 10m 4G internet users

Owned by Norway-based Telenor, Grameenphone is the largest operator in Bangladesh.Grameenphone, leading mobile operator of the country, has registered 10 million subscribers’ base in its 4G network since the introduction of its fastest mobile internet service in February last year

Grameenphone crossed the threshold of 5 million 4G customers in November 2018 while another 5 million joined the tally within five months, Grameenphone said on Monday (Apr 8).

Signifying this milestone, Grameenphone’s Deputy CEO and CMO, Yasir Azman said Bangladesh is one of the fastest growing 4G market in Asia and this shows how fast the country is moving towards digitalization through mobile broadband.

“Grameenphone is committed to invest and bring high speed internet to citizens all over Bangladesh. This milestone of 10 million 4G subscribers for Grameenphone inspires us to do it better and faster,” he added.
