Keeping Facebook, email secure during electionsIn recent times, plethora of problems have emerged over Facebook. Several IDs are hacked, especially ones which have weak passwords. It’s believed that keeping the election in view, hackers have become active. IT specialists feel that during election time, hackers will try to wreak havoc in the cyber world.
Former manager of Facebook developer group, Arif Nizami, says, “Before Facebook is hacked, often e mail is infiltrated.”
“Changing passwords is an intelligent move; incase a phone is lost, passwords need to be changed immediately.”
Many people play games on phone, using apps, and sometimes permission is needed to download the apps, he said and added, “In the name of providing permission, many private information may pass to the wrong hands.”
Many use their mobile numbers as passwords which is not safe, he added.
Therefore, always use your real name because even if it’s hacked then once you report to Facebook, your account will be returned.
Sometimes, hackers use an ingenious technique: they hack an account and then prepare an ID and send it to Facebook so when the real account holder sends information, the authority tends to believe the hackers.
