Bangla Tribune has clinched the title of STEP-BSJC Media Cup 2018 after beating channel i in the finals that saw them emerge as unbeaten champion.

Earlier on Friday (Nov 16) Bangla Tribune team won against Channel 24 by three wickets to secure their place in the finals which was scheduled to be played on the same day at the outer field of the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

In the finals, Bangla Tribune team reached the target of 82 set by Channel in the 6 overs match rather comfortably with 5 deliveries to spare and losing only one wicket.

Abul Hasan scored 42 for Bangla Tribune and took the team to victory with a massive six over the mid-wicket in the first ball of the last over. Atik and Akash accompanied him on the pitch with 14 and 13 runs in their names respectively.

Bangladesh Cricket Board Director Mahbub Anan handed over the winning trophy to Bangla Tribune Team. Former Bangladesh Captain Khaled Masud and and Managing Director Shamim Kabir was present as special guest in the award giving ceremony.
