With 300 plus runs on the board, Bangladesh is looking to build up on the foundation laid by Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque in the second day of Mirpur Test.

Clearly on the driver’s seat, team Tigers is eyeing to amass big total before the Zimbabweans bats in their first innings.

On Sunday (Nov 12) Bangladesh ended the first day with 303 for 5at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium thanks to Mushfiq’s unbeated 111 and Mominul’s 161 which saw the duo put on a solid 266 run partnership.

Earlier in the innings Tigers suffered early loss of wickets with openers Imrul Kayes and Liton Das failing to impress. With Mohammad Mithun’s departure Bangladesh found themselves at 26 for three when Mushfiq and Mominul took charge.

Their 266 run partnership is a record fourth-wicket stand for Bangladesh.

Zimbabwe’s Kyle Jarvis took maximum three wickets while Tendai Chatara and Donald Tiripano bag a wicket apiece in day one.
