There is no scope to incorporate BNP in the election period government, says Awami League General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridge Division Minister Obaidul Quader.
He was speaking with the media at his Secretariat office Sunday.
“No conditional election will be held in Bangladesh. It will be held according to the constitution and through normal process,” he said.
The minister sensed conspiracy and violence as BNP declared that it would not take part in the election without its leader Khaleda Zia.
“There is neither any scope bringing BNP into the interim election period government nor negotiate with them.”
The minister said the Chhatro League, student wing of Awami League, received stern warning from the prime minister not to overdo with quota reform protest.
The minister said, after the public reception yesterday, the prime minister told some Chhatro League leader, “I received numerous allegations of extreme activities by you on quota reform movement. I will tolerate any such allegation anymore.”
