BNP founder Ziaur Rahman was the mastermind of the Aug 15 assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman while his son Tarique Zia was behind the Aug 21 attack on Sheikh Hasina, said the ruling party Secretary Obaidul Quader.
His remarks came while speaking at a discussing meeting at the Awami League headquarters on Wednesday (Sept 4).
Saying that the perpetrators of Aug 15 have tried to wipe away Bangabandhu’s name from history, he added that they have failed and his name will be immortal.
The road transport and bridges minister said “politics isn’t a profession” and called on the leaders and activists to carry out their regular jobs with sincerity.
