Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad is in critical condition, said his younger brother and acting party chief GM Quader.
“The doctors took out 202 litres of water from his body. He is better from that perspective but his overall condition is critical,” he told the media on Friday (Jul 3).
Saying that the doctors were constantly monitoring Ershad, he added that the former military dictator might be given a blood transfusion through dialysis on Friday evening which is expected to improve his condition.
“But it must be understood that he is breathing through artificial means. He is especially dependent on medicines,” he said.
He added that the doctors are providing him world class treatment so that his organs start working regularly.
