Opposition alliance Jatiya Oikya Front has requested the Dhaka-based diplomats to convince the government to hold another election in a fair manner

Speaking with the media after a meeting with foreign envoys at the capital’s Gulshan on Sunday (Jan 6 ) the coalition’s chief Dr Kamal Hossain said that they have drawn their attention to polls time environment and irregularities in the Dec 30 polls

“We had a very good discussion. We drew their attention to what had happened on the voting day. They saw with their own eyes what had happened. There was no argument over it.

“We presented information and data over the polls irregularities before them,” he added.

Foreign diplomats and representatives from over 30 countries were present at the meeting which was held from 4pm to 5:30 pm on Sunday.
