Ruling Awami League (AL) has started selling nomination papers to aspiring candidates aiming to contest in the 11th national parliamentary polls.
Obaidul Quader, AL General Secretary, inaugurated nomination form sales at party chief Sheikh Hasina’s political office at the capitals Dhanmondi, around 10:00am on Friday.
The first nomination paper was bought on behalf of the party President Sheikh Hasina by AL Religious Affairs Secretary Sheikh Abdullah.
The second form was also bought on behalf of the prime minister; however, it wasn’t immediately known which constituency it was for.
Chief Whip ASM Feroz bought a form on Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury’s behalf for the Rangpur-4 Constituency. Obaidul Quader has also collected a form for his constituency of Noakhali-5.
Quader said that the nomination paper sales and collection to continue until further notice.
