BNP to sit with 20-party coalition allies to discuss key strategies

The BNP has called a meet of the 20-party Alliance it leads to discuss about the inconclusive dialogue with the ruling party, next steps of the Jatiya Oikya Front and other issues. The meeting will be held Thursday evening at BNP chief’s Gulshan offices.
Members of the party’s policymaking National Standing Committee and leadership of the allies are expected to attend the meeting.
It’s believed that after meeting, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who also serves as the spokesperson for the Jatiya Oikya Front, will brief the media.
The Front will express its reaction to the schedule declaration at the media conference. BNP Chairperson’s media wing member Shairul Kabir Khan, said. “An important decision may be taken at the meet to be held this evening.”
One of the leaders of the alliance, BJP Chairman Andaleeve Rahman said, “At this meet, the alliance will decide if they will take part in the polls or not, plan for future movement and nominations.”
