Jatiya Oikya Prokriya Convener and Gano Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain has returned home.
Hossain, along with his wife Hamida Hossain, landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a Thai Airways flight on Saturday noon, his family said.
On Sept 27, he flew to Bangkok for medical treatment.
Hossain’s departure in the middle of Jatiya Oikya Prokriya’s and Jukta Front’s process to form a coalition with BNP drew politicians’ attention across the country.

“With his return, the process will progress now,” said Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, who is known to be a pro-BNP intellectual.
Sources said Hossain is scheduled to lead a meeting with AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury-led Jukta Front this week.
Both alliances then will start their talks with the BNP, according to the sources.
