Cafe Le RajThe UK Border Agency (UKBA) has detained six Bangladeshi immigrants after officials raided two restaurants in Henley in UK.
UKBA conducted separate raids in Ashiana Spice in Reading Road and then Cafe Le Raj on Thursday evening last week and out of nine staffs six had no right to work in the UK.
The Home Office spokesperson said, “Six men, all from Bangladesh and aged between 28 and 44 years old, were arrested and remain in immigration detention pending their removal from the UK. All had overstayed their visas.”
Both restaurants may now face fines running into the thousands unless they can demonstrate that proper checks were carried out.
The owners of Cafe Le Raj and Asiana Spice were not available for comment.
