A power outage has hit the Secretariat on Sunday (Sept 15) leaving several buildings, including the one housing the cabinet division, without electricity.
Officials said that they found Building-3 housing the ministries of commerce and health, Building-4 which has the offices for the ministries of agriculture, food, information, law and CHT affairs and Building-9 which houses the clinic completely without power.
The outage has hit parts of Building-1, which houses the cabinet division and Building-11 which has offices for the finance ministry.
Officials said that glitch in the grid caused the outage.
“We are not sure when power can be restored,” said Chief Engineer Moin Abdullah of the power office at Dhaka’s Shegunbagicha.
