The government has promoted a total of 20 superintendents of police to the ranks of additional deputy inspector general (DIG).
The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry issued a notification on Sunday (Aug 18) in this regard.
The promotion would prompt authorities to reshuffle in Police Headquarters and many units, including Rapid Action Battalion, Criminal Investigation Department, and Special Branch, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Chittagong Metropolitan Police, and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police.
