UN clears $30m owe to Bangladesh

On Monday (Jul 8), Assistant Secretary General of UN Operational Support Division Lisa M Buttenheim cleared the $30 million responding to the request of Bangladesh’s Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed at a meeting in the UN Headquarters in New York, according to a statement received in Dhaka on Thursday (Jul 11).
During the meeting, they discussed different bilateral issues while Buttenheim lauded the Bangladesh for its role in the UN Peacekeeping Mission, reports BSS.
Buttenheim pledged to pay the UN’s reaming $30 million to Bangladesh soon.
