School suspends teacher for setting question on Sefuda

Rajuk Uttara Model College has suspended its teacher Jahinul Hasan on Wednesday (Jul 10) after the question paper for the pre-test exams for 10th graders went viral on the social media and stirred controversy.A Dhaka school has suspended one of its teachers for setting questions on a controversial social media figure Sefat Ulla, popularly known as Sefuda.
Rajuk Uttara Model College has suspended its teacher Jahinul Hasan on Wednesday (Jul 10) after the question paper for the pre-test exams for 10th graders went viral on the social media and stirred controversy, said Md Ziaul Haque, chairman of Dhaka Education Board.
The school has also opened an inquiry headed by the vice-principal, added Haque, who also sits on the school’s board of governance.
In the creative section of the question paper on Islam and Moral Education, Sefat Ullah was used as a stimulus in an explanatory passage.
Sefat Ullah, who is an expatriate in Austria’s Vienna, has become popular with his trash-talking videos on Facebook.
Sefat moved to Vienna some 22 years back.
