The Anti Corruption Commission has conducted a raid in search of now suspended Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Mizanur Rahman who has been accused of bribing and ACC official in order to influence a probe against him.
Two teams of the graft watchdog led raids in several parts of Dhaka including Bailey Road on Wednesday (Jun 26), confirmed a top ACC official.
Meanwhile, the ACC found the allegations of receiving Tk 4 million bribe from Mizan against its suspended director Enamul Basir to be true.
The audio recordings of phone conversations were sent to the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC) for testing which revealed that it was indeed Mizan and Basir on the line. The NTMC will be submitting the report soon.
