The government has appointed three educationists as national professors for five years as per Bangladesh National Professor Resolution (appointment, conditions and facilities) 1981.
They are Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman of Dhaka University, Professor Emeritus and Advisor Rafiqul Islam of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and ‎ ‎University of Asia Pacific Vice Chancellor Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury.
The appointment came through a circular issued by the Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Today (Jun 19).
The three national professors will get honorarium and enjoy privileges in accordance with the 1981 Resolution.
