Aman RaPolice is looking for a way to get rid of a Colombian citizen, Aman Ra, who was detained in a delirium state Thursday.
“We are in serious trouble as due to his insane condition we cannot release him,” said Kazi Wazed Ali, chief of Badda police station, where he is staying now.
Apparently a highly educated person, Aman sometimes claimed himself as a ‘Muslim’ and sometimes ‘God’.
Sensing the trouble, the police are trying to raise a fund from their own pocket to buy a ticket as he does not have enough money with him.
“He is in our custody as we are worried about his security,” said the police officer adding, Special Branch was immediately notified about him.
Aman entered Bangladesh from India through Benapole border with one month tourist visa on Jun 14 and declined to leave the country till his visa expired.
Local people on Thursday morning informed the police about disoriented Aman, who could not speak properly.
Wazed said, he speaks in fluent English and claimed that he spent 21 years in Texas as engineer and teacher.
“We found him highly educated, but sometimes he talks about religion and other issues which might hamper his security,” OC said.
Food and other necessary items are provided to him by police at the station, he said.
It is mentionable, Colombia does not have an embassy in Dhaka.
