Who would have thought that one-day-international cricket, an idea which originated after the complete washout of 1971 Ashes Test, would take up the form of a coveted quadrennial event down the years. In these 49 years, the World Cup has evolved over the time and so does the kit of the players.
From when, these red and green jersey became our quintessential purchase during the hot cruel summer?
We all know the answer, from 1999. Bangladesh played their first match in WORLD CUP in England and provided a few upsets.
The Tigers are back on the British Isles exactly two decades later and this time as serious contenders.
Here goes the story of a jersey, eagerly waiting for someone who will sing the anthem and cherish the red-green with the spirit of liberation war.
