Evidence of exam paper tampering at Ideal School: Principal accused

Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education.A second investigation has found that exam papers for admission tests for classes two and three for the academic year 2018 were tampered at the Ideal School and College in Dhaka.

A report has been submitted accusing Dr. Shahan Ara, principal of the institution.

The report also states that excess marks were given in several cases and the principal’s explanation was not satisfactory.

The report was submitted by director of secondary and higher secondary education, Professor Mohammad Yusuf, last February.

Another director, Professor Abdul Mannan, said, “A report has been submitted and action will be taken as per the directives of the ministry.”

Professor Mohammad Yusuf, said, “We found evidence of exam paper tampering.”

The investigation was launched following a complaint by a parent, Shyamoli Shimu.

Later, others also lodged complaints saying that in exchange for Tk 30 million a failed candidate was given pass marks.

The report also says that the explanation of the principal was not satisfactory.

Ideal school’s main campus is in Motijheel with two outer campuses, one in Banasree and the other in Mugda.
