Road accidents kill three in the capital

Two separate road accidents, reported in the early hours of Tuesday (Feb 4), have claimed the lives of three people including a woman in the capital.

One of the accidents was reported from a Vatara area bus-stop and the other took place in Mouchak area.

Around 3am, a bus driver lost control of his vehicle and ploughed through a road-side tea stall at Vatara’s Cocacola bus-stop killing two on the spot.

The victims have been identified as Shahin, 42, who was the stall owner and Security Guard Kabir Hossain, 45.

 The bodies have been sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s (DMCH) Morgue for autopsy, said the hospital police post Sub-Inspector Md Bachchu Mia.

The other incident in Mouchak Market area claimed a woman’s life when she was hit by a vehicle in the early hours.

One passerby took the woman, whose identity is yet to be determined, to DMCH where she succumbed to her injuring around 7am.
