Dhaka University authorities have formed a committee to formulate the code of conduct for the elections to its Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and residential hall unions.
Pro-vice chancellor Nasreen Ahmad will head the seven-strong panel. The other members are Dhaka University Teachers’ Association President and Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty Dean Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal, Law Faculty Dean Dr Md. Rahmat Ullah, Arts Faculty Dean Dr Abu Md. Delwar Hossain, Social Science Faculty Dean Prof Sadeka Halim, Economics department Professor Mahbubul Mokaddem (M M Akash), and Television, Film and Photography department Professor Dr AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan.
Earlier, a Chief Returning Officer and 5 returning officers were appointed and a 15-member Advisory Council was formed for the long-awaited elections which have been not held for 28 years.
