The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained three people in Dhaka on charges of spreading anti-state propaganda in the social media.
The arrests were made from the capital’s Shyamoli in early on Friday (Dec 21), said the elite police unit.
The identities of the arrestees are yet to be known.
“The three people were held under Digital Security Act for their involvement in spreading anti-state propaganda on Facebook and other social media sites,” said RAB Media Wing Director Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan before adding, “They are being interrogated.”
