Man pushed off a building dies, two held for murder

Representational imageA man was killed after being pushed off a five storied building in the capital’s West Malibagh area, and police have detained two people in relation to the matter.
The deceased is 26-year-old businessman Mamnur Rashid, who was pushed through the gap in the stairwell on Friday (Dec 14) and was severely injured.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries.
“We have come to know that the victim owed money to people. We think it might be the motive and have detained two suspects and are interrogating them,” Ramna police OC Kazi Moinul Islam told Bangla Tribune.
The victim’s older brother Mortaza Ali said that Rashid made crests and similar thing and that’s how he met Farhad, Asad, Farid, Sumon and Tajul.
He complained that Rashid had some business related conflicts with aforementioned individuals who allegedly attacked up Rashid and himself.
Mortaza said that during the altercation, they pushed Rashid through the gap in the stairwell.
