A court in Dhaka has ordered the arrest of BNP Vice-Chairman Amanullah Aman and 161 other party activists in a 2017 case started by police.
On Sunday (Dec 2), the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Kazi Ashrafuzzaman issued the warrants on charges of violence after the suspects did not appear before it for the hearing to accept the charge sheet.
It has also ordered the police to file a report over the arrests on Jan 13, said court police’s General Register Officer Mozammel Hossain.
Police in Dhaka’s Keraniganj started the case on Jun 2, 2017 against 169 people on charges of violence. It, however, later dropped names of seven suspects.
