A newborn child who was found inside a bag at the capital’s Gendaria area died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The infant was discovered by Rumana Aktar, a resident of Gendaria in front of her house on Friday (Nov 16) morning.
DMCH police post Sub-Inspector Bacchu Mia confirmed that Rumana brought the baby to the hospital.
According to locals a male and a female were seen loitering around the area in the early hours of the morning and it is being suspected that they left the child there.
