Law enforcing agencies in the country have stepped up security ahead of the polls schedule announcement on Thursday (Nov 8).
Law enforcers have been deployed all over the country with instructions to prevent and strictly handle any possible mayhem following the schedule announcement.
RAB and police check-posts have been set up at different points and members of several law enforcing agencies, including detective branch of police, will be patrolling the roads in uniform and plain clothes.
“We are prepared to control any unwanted situation and make sure there is no chaos after the schedule is announced,” said Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan, Director of RAB’s legal and media wing.
On Wednesday (Nov 7) night, law enforcers were seen patrolling many areas throughout Dhaka, including Mirpur, Dhammondi, New Market, Banani and Gulshan.
