A Dhaka court has fixed Nov 25 to hear 11 cases against BNP Chief Khaleda Zia. Dhaka Metropolitan sessions judge, KM Imrul Kayes passed the order on Sunday (Oct 28).
Khaleda’s counsel, Sanaullah Mia, filed a time petition informing the court that most of the cases have been stayed by the high court.
The cases are— eight cases of violence with Darussalam police, one sedition case and two other cases including one murder case with the Jatrabari Police, Hannan Bhuiyan, another lawyer of the former premier, told Bangla Tribune.
Three-time premier, Khaleda, has been serving a five-year sentence since Feb 8 when she was convicted of embezzling foreign donations meant for the Zia Orphanage Trust.
